Every living and non-living thing consist of atoms. So are humans Elements? Mixtures? Or Compounds? What do you think?

Skin and bones.

Fat and organs.
-
Humans are made of a horribly complicated mixture of compounds (and a few elements).
However, for some purposes they can be thought of as mainly water.

Old stars.
-
humans, animals, and plants contain the same basic elemental properties carbon and water ( C & H2O).
