Title: Searching for a member
Post by: Pmb on 16/10/2013 13:41:14
Several times I've wanted to search for posts made only by a specific individual but have been able to determine how to do this. E.g. I haven't seen Aethelwulf post in a long time. It could be that he's left or banned and I don't know it. Perhaps he's simply posting in forums I don't frequent.

For example; How do I find his last post?

Goo... Search engine: 'tns Aethelwulf' will return links to his posts.
Clicking on his name in blue will take you to his profile, where you can follow the link 'Show Posts' (most recent first).

peppercorn - Been there, done that. This isn't my first barbecue ya know. :) I.e. that was the very first thing I tried and it wasn't useful.

Aethelwulf has posted 359 posts. Doing a search like that only came up with 6 results, including this thread. The search engine here will return only people who posted his name in the actual post. It won't tell me which posts he created.

Aethelwulf has posted 359 posts.

There is a "Æthelwulf" , but I can't find them on members (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search), (maybe it's the "Æ").

This looks like their posts ... http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=33676
