Welcome to the world of the elite do not adjust your monitor for we control the horizontal and the vertical, until we get bored and set up some totalitarian nightmare to do it for us.

O.k so on the left I will write what someone may say to an Elite and on the right what the Elite will reply, I shall call this game 'someone says Elite replies'

Is there a new theory presented here? If not, should we move this to "Just Chat"?
Surely elitism depends on context - there are religious elitists, sporting elitists, political elitists, musical elitists...
So really, the "elite replies" column says nothing useful about elitism.

Actually I'm saying it because I care about you, as I said before I have no problem with an elite, neither did Gandhi. It hurts to see you be so silly, but that's not a reason to stop caring, suffering is never pointless and true enough the more you care the more you can suffer.
But that is what a Christian is called to do, to care and love; for Christ' crown is one of suffering. and for sure to go in the other direction would only make us cold. So I have not given up on you, even if some of you have given up on yourselves. Trying to help as always.

You know what Benv, your right I should explain more so I shall.
When I speak of the Elite, I mean the same group that Marx spoke of the bous-wa-ze. And in this thread I was trying to show you all how they see reality, how they think.
For the Elite, the only thing that really matters is pleasure. Bentham 'Man is under two sovereign masters pleasure and pain'.
So for the Elite, if you believe in right and wrong you are a fool, for the only thing that matters is pleasure. Your a capitalist- your a fool, a communist your a fool, you believe in God your a fool, a nihilist a fool.
They in there terms are free, for you people take a position on life and in some way are bound by it, where as we the elite see the truth 'that only pleasure matters' so nothing but pleause binds us. So the more stuff we have, the more pleasures we have.
They of course have to become numb to the world to enjoy their pleasures which then reduces their ability to enjoy their pleasures, a trade off, but a trade off that also helps them to avoid pain.
These are the people that really rule this First world, so to what extent do they care for those under them? They care in terms of how much pleasures those below can help them attain. We are play things, we help them get products etc
This is the Elite idea of enlightenment- numb, uncaring, selfish pursuit of pleasure at any cost- save the loss of pleasure.
Ultimately and truly these people are deluded and irrational and most of the horror they put in the world stems from that, it's an externality of delusion. Their delusion tells them they are free, and also works to stop any form of critic getting them to change their behaviour.
The only thing that matters is pleasure, the more stuff you have the more pleasures you can get, My stuff is my life, and to keep my stuff I will do and say anything, for only pleasure matters.

Slaves to pleasure really, but from day one little Johny was fed this and indoctrinated into believing it,

Just going to add the thing that keeps the Elite in check is- the rule of law, but not because they agree with the rule of law.
The rule of law keeps them in check because if they get caught doing naughty things, they'll be punished and lose their pleasures. So they walk around pretending to be the most Honorable members of society.

Thankfully everything they believe is false, in the words of Gandhi "tyrants can seem invincible, but the way of truth and love always wins through in the end" "The truth alone triumphs"

Thankyou Benv, you are a comic, and just proved you were helping someone out. Too true to some this is not new, but to others it is very new.
But one thing that I would slightly consider new is to see that that form of thinking is 1. utterly incorrect and 2. a form of insanity.

You see for Bentham: All crime is rational. A pleasure can be anything ultimately relative to the person.
A man stands in the wood and says "Oh my it's chaos, the bees, the trees, the bugs, it's crazy here. He doesn't see the wood for the trees and misses the harmony the balance. And so tries to impose an order, just like Darth Vader "Join me and we'll bring order to the galaxy"
And by bringing his order, the man kills the wood.
A sane action? I think not.

So you know it's really a choice do we want to live by and under- reason and sanity, or under insanity.
Of course the enlightened Elite will say "sanity just gets in the way of we having more stuff"
The needs of the many out way the needs of the few or the one- that's reason, logic.
The lunatic says "Only my pleasures and stuff matter and that out weighs everything else" that's insanity.
Even worse if you put a bit of paper in front of an Elite and said "sign or die", and the paper meant that they would go to prison and lose everything, and come out five years later having to start again from scratch.
Most would sign, and that reality really does prove that there is far more to life than there insane philosophy says there is.

P.S, So what am I really calling for? For pleasure with conscience and commerce with morality.
Do I want rid of the free market? No.
Do I think everyone should live the same way? No, where is the life there that's a world of clones.
Do I have a problem with rich people? No I just believe that life is a gift, and that the rich should in some way be thankful for what they have and show some appreciation.
Responsibility is not for losers.
