Firefox or Explorer ?
«

Anbody trying out Firefox ?..I am....seems fine...reacts a little weird when replying to posts as when I want to make something bold or change the font size etc, I used to just highlight the text and click the appropriate icon, and voila !!..it was done.........instead, with Firefox it just cancels the highlighted text and places the bold/colour/size things at the end of the post which I then have to drag and drop on either side of the text I want to change.
Anybody else have this happening ?

Mozilla rules all. I even got my girlfriend using it and she hates anything new and scary when it comes to her computer.

Yep...beginning to agree that Mozilla rules...I especially like the fact that you can open other pages in tabs rather new windows....I Like !...I was originally a Netscape fan back in the days before Explorer...*sigh* the good ole days of 14000 baud !!

Firefox is ace ive been using it for about two years now before it was called firefox, i've never turned back. Apart from when i need to download something from Micro$oft as they prevent you from using anything other than Explorer.

More security in Firefox, right? IE is very vulnerable to attacks...and always hangs.

With the Hackers out there writing worms, viruses and other junk, I prefer non-Microsoft programs when they are as good as or better than the MS versions.
I use Eudora for email and Foxfire for web browsing. Eudora is cool because they have limited its ability to run Scripts that are the cause of a lot of infections, and although it is the second most common email program, peeps aren't writing viruses against it.
Other than that, I run ZoneAlarm and Norton, though I think I am taking a double hit as Microsoft and Norton try to protect me and slow down my computer to about half the speed it was when new.
Yea, spamware has been removed, and disk defragged. It is all the security stuff MS has had to pile on because of previous stupid decisions. I can't believe that MS was so stupid to implement stuff to help DOS (Denial of service) attacks.

I have to say that I'm back using Explorer ....I found a security issue with Firefox that pissed me off. I would do some internet banking and after logging off, I found that if I went 'back' a page , all my info was still there !!....not good !!...perhaps someone might clarify if they can do this and let me know......also, I still find the editing fucnctions when changing texts in posts etc really annoying....
With anti-spyware and antivirus as well as a firewall and condoms [
]I find myself well protected.
