Title: Can living near a mine cause health problems?

Mark asks:

What type of process at a nearby mine could cause vibration, or heart palpitation?

What do you think?

What type of process at a nearby mine could cause vibration, or heart palpitation?

Maybe if tailings from the mine were contaminating the water-supply (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_cyanidation),
but then many people in the vicinity, (who drank the water), would be effected.

If the problem is a specific-individual I think you can rule-out the mine as a cause.
