Mature tissues can be re-programmed in-situ to produce stem cells, scientists have shown for the first time.

I think the glossing over of the negative part of activating stem cells in the body, that the mice DIED when large doses of DOX were used and that even at low doses they developed multiple teratomas, not what you want.  These are NOT trivial problems in moving this forward.  What the paper illustrates is that stem cells can be activated in vivo, and it can happen in many tissues, but note that they turned into teratomas, NOT just the tissue type they were in.  Not citing the negatives leads people to think that this kind of treatment is just around the corner.
