Who is getting loads of Daddy Longlegs in their place at the moment ?...I am.

it's interesting that Daddy Longlegs aren't spiders, even though they both look the same.
...i wonder what would happen if i cut all the legs of a daddy longlegs???
...Nothing is impossible, even the word says I'M POSSIBLE...

http://spiders.ucr.edu/daddylonglegs.html Explains pretty much everything... Crane Flies aren't even Daddy Long Legs by any description apart from in the UK. They are winged insects, not even 8 legged! Plus daddy long legs don’t look like spiders unless you are speciest! [:D] I have an irrational fear of spiders, im not scared by any other creepy crawlies except scorpions! Has to have eight legs and a segmented body for me to jump up on a chair [;)] If big hairy spiders could fly I would be screwed!
I remember in primary school we would gather up all the crane flies from the playing field and release them all under some outside steps, a massive cloud of them would stay there for hours just bumping in to each other [:)]

crane fly larvae (leather jackets as we commonly call them) are the favoured food of starlings in britain.
i once saw a program filmed in holland about starlings breeding,you know the sort of thing,leader yacket in,terd oot.dead exiting.....

IVE JUST GOT TO KNOW IS IT GUINESS OR MURPHYS ?
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF VILLAGES IN CHILE THAT DONT HAVE ONE, BUT THAT COULD BE DUE TO THE SPARSE POPULATION,LARGE TOWNS AND CITIES HAVE A GREAT NUMBER OF THEM, SO YES POPULATION DENSITY COULD BE THE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR, OR THE LACK OF BIKES. [;)]
