These bugs starting appearing in our house a couple of days ago. Several in the bathrooms and computer rooms. They are fast moving, black and brown with 6 legs, no wings. I have attached a picture. I would like to know what these are and how to get rid of them! Thanks!!

where are you?

Eastern KY. I looked around on the internet last night and the closest thing I could find was a false Bobbardier Beetle, but of course, I know nothing about bugs, so I guess at this point I would want to know if this is correct and if so, why are they coming in the house and how do I get rid of them?? Thanks for your help!

I think that is it, do the beetles at your house seem to have join down the centre of their back like in the picture i've linked to? if i'm right its called Dendroides canadensis. But i'm not sure about what could be attracting them or how you could repel them other than closing the flyscreen/windows.
Or it might well be the False Bombardier Beetle like you found, very hard to tell with some insects. there might be 1000 different ones that look similar

I dont think that is it as the one in kimberly0309 picture the rear shell parts has many lines running along it.

Phew !!..I really am all beetled out.....I've been looking at loads of pictures and it could be anyone of a number of grain beetles or weevils......thing is......if you have an infestation I believe there are bug traps available.......else...call pest control !!
