Title: Do People Without Tonsils Have less Sore Throats ?
Post by: neilep on 29/07/2015 21:59:46
Dearest people of Intelligent Generosity,

As a sheepy I of course luff my tonsils. Out of all the lymphoid tissue masses in my throat tonsils are my all time fave.

look , here are some  !

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

Tonsils only a few moments ago, just hanging around and chillin !

Sometimes tonsils misbehave and they turn a jolly good day into a horrible one and so they need to be removed !...hurrumpth !!

So, when people have their tonsils removed do they enjoy a life long adventure of reduced sore throats ?...and if so why so ?

Please let me know . In the mean time i'm gonna gargle with salt water !

whajafink ?

hugs and shmishes

mwah mwah !!

neil

In the back of the mouth are the hanging of the tonsils
Give them a keyboard and they become hanging consoles
  lol...that's crap innit !

It says here in the wikipedia entry that there is a 2-4 % risk of post-operative bleeding from a tonsillectomy and a mortality rate of 1:15000.

If a doctor tells you that you should have them out so that the child will have fewer sore throats -- but doesn't have recurrent and intractable infections you should do this...

1. Look at your watch and exclaim, "Gosh, we are late for Johnny's samba lesson."
2. Leave immediately.
3. Don't ever go back. Instead find a doctor who isn't a nit-wit and a child butcher.

I feel confident in saying this having seen 5 year olds suddenly start bleeding like a stuck hog into their pharynx after such surgery.

well once again I an indebted to ewe for your kind response.

I will bear your wise advice in mind should my tonsils misbehave and my doctor wants to misbehave even more so by wrenching them out with a rusty spanner !
