I know, even an extinction event becomes natural, from that perspective. Doesn't matter, it's still a 'natural process' although the reason for it are us.

And Zer0, I don't think it can work, not as it looks today. Russia inside NATO. To work it should have been done 70 to 80 years ago, after the second world war. It's very similar to the way we handle global warming. By growing distrust.

As for what will happen Zer0. some of what Alan wrote will definitely happen. Everything migrating to the poles. In the mean time we will prepare for wars over it, and keep building out our festungs, to quell those migrations. From those we exploit you might expect a lot more of what we call 'terrorism' but I don't think it will be 'Mad Max' with busloads of people coming with small arms. They will have a killing field of their own instead, starvation's, death and civil unrest. And we will hide behind those walls to watch it, bureaucracy hiding it from the rest of us, a little like how those concentration camps in Nazi hands came to be.

Seems like an argument for photons, instead of waves? Don't know if anyone remember but we used to have arguments about that here, and I've seen it elsewhere too, where the most reasonable idea still seemed to be waves. Few accepting the duality as a 'real phenomena'. And now the wind has turned the other way, with new generations of fundamental science. It reminds me a lot of this discussion. Check out  juanrga.

It's weird though, and I think it says something about how we want the world to be. Because it goes back to Newtonian ideas, both of them. Waves and Particles. One or the other as a simple definition of forces. If we take the example of propagation in a vacuum it doesn't really matter if it is a 'wave' or a 'photon' doing it. Either something propagates a distance in time, or there is something entirely different going on, making us think it's a 'propagation' involved to it.

But I will add global warming to it, and topsoil, and water, and groundwater projections. As well as deforestation, wildfires, species extinctions, urbanization's and other infra structures, pollution's, chemicals, industrial farming, pesticides, mono cultures, and that list doesn't stop.
