OK, I'm sure Forums (or is it Fori) have done this before, but I think It would be fun if Forum members Google themselves and post the first hit. No cheating now, just your full name, no other information. Please say if the first hit is actually yourself or some loser that happens to have the same name.
I'll do it later as I have an odd surname and will get myself I'm sure.
-
I did this recently and the loser who had the same name as me turned out to be considerably more successful than I had been - so much more that he had a whole string of stuff to say so, whereas I had nowt
There was only one though as I too have an uncommon name.
[It's fora].
-
my full name does not come up at all. It wants to change the spelling! LOL!
-
I get a side of a girl, who ist physiologist for horses. If you know me only a little, you might think, that could be me, because I´m also very into animals... but no horses... I dont even know how to ride a horse ;-)
The most of the next hits seem to be related to her, too.
The first hit for the real me is the 8. one and it leeds to an article from an wild animal shelter-thing, when I had to pick up a big vulture, someone found in Germany (we normaly dont have vultures here...only some (again) in the very south of germany)... there were a lot of articles in the newspaper back then...
edit: whats the url for an english google-site?

Look, I'm going along with this because I'm essentially good-natured: fora is the plural of forum - not my name. [::)]
My namesake is the son of a famous popular novelist (deceased) and one himself - we are related.
-

Sorry, my horses ate them ;)

Blakey: So if you are related then you have famous relatives. Did doing the search reveal the new relatives or did you know them already.
My husband discovered an American actress who his been in some high budget films as peripheral characters. As there are so few people with our surname she has to be related.
-
I did Google my board name Rosalind DNA and my real one.
I got loads of sites for both. When I saw my real name it quite frankly spooked me.
-
is you real name Casper?

Blakey: So if you are related then you have famous relatives. Did doing the search reveal the new relatives or did you know them already.
I knew about the famous relative because I saw my name every time I went into a bookshop, though not so much now, and he had commissioned a history and a family tree that he sent to members of the family (such as my father) who were interested; but it only goes back unbroken to 1612. All honest folk and true but nothing of any real note, except that during the civil war they just kept their heads down, sat on the fence* and came out for neither side. [;D]
* No, they weren't spectators.

You surprise me DoctorBeaver - a polymath such as yourself would know that the first record of tea being taken in England was 1658 and as the civil war was between 1642 and 1651 the answer is - No, they didn't. [;D]
-
You are, of course, correct. I should have said "infusions", but that didn't sound right.
-
Did it and came up with a Jockey with the same name as myself [;D]
He's not long turned 18 and I believe he's Australian.
-
Ha, ha! Beaver caught napping.
-
They say in Norfolk "If you catch a weasel asleep, piss in its ear".
I'm not sure what you'd do with a beaver. [^]
-
I feel sorry for you!
-
Well I just Googled myself and my Am. Dram. group came up first which naffs me off as I hoped my business website would be first.
