GG:   our God is a rather weak force with very limited power.
Bored Chemist says: Get a dictionary; that's not a God.
GG replies: Webster New World third college edition says: 2/ an image that is worshipped, idol 3/ a person or thing deified or excessively honored and admired
You are looking at the usual definition where God is the creator of the universe and a supernatural entity. I do not believe in that. My God is a natural God. It is part of us. Part of all life as well.  As such God is quite different for everyone.
Without the fifth dimension there is no God. With the fifth dimension our spirits exist and we flow into our God in death. God eats our intelligence. This enables God to produce higher man upon a new Earth. Alternatively it could produce higher man upon this Earth long after man is gone.
Interactions with God can only occur if someone aligns himself to God. God has no real power over a non-believer. Thus a person must be willing to seek out God. Then the person is subject to a spiritual interaction. Often people are saved after they are dead. Some will see the light of God and they can turn away from it or flow toward it. If they turn away they will quickly perish and be no more. If they turn toward it they will be absorbed by the light. No religion is necessary for salvation.
Many people spend a lifetime praying to God and worshipping God. To me that is idol worship. So that is the problem with definitions 2 and 3.
Is God a being or a process? All I know is that at the end of the process we will emerge as higher man. So I interact with my God but most of the interactions are within my own mind. I see the higher dimension and it excites and frightens me. My hypomanic mind reaches the limit at the edge of insanity and I pull back. It often takes quite a long time to recover from the trip to the edge. Yet that was a long time ago and I never want to return.
The scientists have their test instruments to search the universe. I have my hypomanic mind to search what is beyond our four dimensions. That is my test instrument. Thanks for your comments.

Alancalverd says:My point precisely. The jealous and vengeful god belongs in the OT, with all his plagues and floods. You were lucky Jaweh didn't turn you into a pillar of salt. The NT is all about mercy and forgiveness.
GG: At the time of Moses the Jewish God was quite animalistic. By the time of Jesus it was more humanistic.  For the Island peoples their God was quite lovely. All this proves is that God is evolving toward higher humanity. It is the higher level of ourselves. We make our God. The Bible and Gospels only reflect slight encounters with the evolving God.

Bored Chemist says:Plenty of people have binned the Bible- literally or figuratively.
Why did God pick on you to get a zapped eye, but leave the others with good vision?

That makes no sense, does it?

GG:  The big problem is that the God of the Bible and Gospels was assumed to be a powerful God and in reality our God is a rather weak force with very limited power. Why me? I guess because my god wanted to bring modern man upward toward the truth and the purpose of God. Religious people tend to be frozen in their understanding of God. I tend to be a heretic. The only problem I have is my lifetime of communication with my God. Yet I am still trying to understand what God is. So I was available to upgrade and understanding of God. The Christians would have burnt me at the stake years ago and the Jews would have stoned me to death. Today I am just another lunatic. It is a comedy. So I serve my self. Getting a new chicken soon so my rooster will be happy again. Think you are right about the rooster crying for another mate.

Alancalverd says: The more one reads the New Testament, the less likely and laudable the Christian God becomes.
GG: What you say is common to many others. In 1981 as I argued with my God about the Bible, I said "It is a book of lies" and I threw it in an ash can. This angered my God and he sent out a ray that burnt a blind spot in my eye. It took many years for the blind spot to go away. All I have come to believe is that within the book of lies is mythology mixed with historical fact. The God  of 2000 years ago was quite scientifically ignorant. The intelligence of man over the 2000 years has been absorbed by my God. God is only a higher level of us. It was stupid but now it is quite smart.

Just Chat! / Is there a conflict between science and religion?
« on: 12/05/2020 13:44:49 »
Naked 5.12.2020 9am
Is there a conflict between science and religion?
Religion looks at the universe from encounters between man and the spiritual world. Science looks at the universe from observation, measurements, logic, and reasoning. There are two different world views. Is there a conflict? Can both viewpoints simultaneously exist?
In America today we have ordinary people and we have Trumpians. They both look at the world using different set of facts. The Trumpians tend to make up their own facts. Yet both sets of people live their lives based upon their own beliefs. Some people are quite happy believing a set of lies as truth.
Do religious people believe a set of lies and scientific people believe only scientific truth? Scientific truth is limited to what we can see and measure. Scientists build upon scientific facts that are proven to produce a universe that denies the creation of the universe by a magical God. Science has destroyed the supernatural God. The Darwinian evolutionary process is self-evident to most scientists. A universe that self creates itself is also quite evident. No God is necessary for the production of the universe.
What does God say about how the universe was made? Nothing at all. What do we know about God from the religious encounter?  “I am that I am”. These words entered the minds of the early Jews. What did they encounter? Moses spoke to God who appeared as a flame. What does this tell us?
From a religious perspective it tells us that God exists and God is a form of energy. For me the most important thing I learned about God is that “I evolved”.
From this it is clear to me that God exists and God is an energy source and finally that God did not exist before the universe but was created by the universe. Science is very good at destroying the concept of a supernatural God that created the universe. Yet they have a long way to go to understand that there are other dimensions that coexists with us. Yet we are making progress in that regard.
My God is a natural God. It is an evolved higher level of life in the spiritual dimension. It is just a natural development leading toward higher life and higher man. It will lead us to new life upon new planets. That is our future destiny.

Bored Chemist says: Incidentally, Tom the rooster isn't mourning, he is calling out for a replacement.
GG: Are you well versed in chicken psychology? Sounds good to me hope you are right. I am looking for another mate but only small chickens are available and the chicken hawks will eat them rapidly unless I cage them until they are larger.

Just Chat! / Re: Did Jesus die on the cross ?

To understand if Jesus died on the cross we  must first understand what was Jesus? No one knows since no one was there except the Father God. The best information I have is from my encounters, dreams, and visions. From history we know that there were many Jews hung on crosses during that time. We also know that there were faith healers who were able to absorb spiritual energy and touch a sick person. The excessive energy would heal the person by super energizing their immune system. That was common.
The virgin birth story is a common occurrence when spiritual energy from the Father God enters a woman. This fertilizes an egg and a clone of the woman is born. Its DNA is identical with the mother. Thus one particular Jewish Child was a male copy of the mother.
The Father God of the Earth has the ability to enter the minds of various people. He inserts false memory into their minds. They write Gospel stories from the false memories. To the writers it is true. The events tend to be mythological with a mixture of historical fact.
What is true and what is false? Both the Bible and Gospels are a mixture of mythology and history.  Why has God done this? Perhaps the answer is human freedom. God gives us the choice to believe or not to believe. He wants doubt which insures freedom.

DuffyD says:That is Christianity in a word. Giving of yourself, your means, to help someone in need. Bless you
GG: Thanks. You feel for things. Feelings verses logic and reasoning are always in conflict. Two sides of us. To believe or not to believe. To see what others cannot see. The believer thinks Jesus is something. The non-believer thinks he is nothing. I look at all the religions of man and see that they all have truth in them. The spirit inside us seeks the spirit from which it came.  I preach no particular religion. They all seek the Father God, the spirit of the Earth itself.

I started with the chickens and the topic changed into conflicts. Yesterday my last hen by the name of Dorothy was eaten. Only a pile of feathers was left. Tom the rooster has been crying for her. I feel so sad for him. His mate is gone and now he is alone.
75,000 have died of the coronavirus so far. It most likely will go to 200,000 before medicines are developed. Yet they are only numbers. I worry about my family and loved ones but I do not suffer any pain for all those who have suffered such a great loss. Yesterday I saw a Mexican woman begging for money at Walmart. I wanted to give her $20 but my daughter objected so I walked up to her and gave her $10. My daughter said she did not feel any pain for the woman and small child. Yet I did and so did some others.
So you see a person in need and feel for them but 75,000 dead doesn't cause pain. Yet Tom is sad and I feel sad for him. He is a pet but you cannot pet him. He runs away. The president doesn't care about the 75,000 he only cares about the stock market. It is just numbers. Yet he loves the money numbers and not the people dead numbers.

Pmbphy says:
Has anybody noticed that theists pride themselves on generosity, kindness and charity, and attribute it to their religion whereas atheists say their the same way and don't need religion for it? What they're not saying is that there are no food banks or sources of holiday meals delivered to the needy by non-religious sources or if they exist are few?

Every month I get a slip for groceries and every holiday I get holiday food from a religious source. I'm having trouble finding the atheist food bank. :)  [or whatever non-religious charity for such a thing calls itself]
GG: Good point. religious people tend to thinking terms of the collective. Everyone is part of the tribe. Therefore everyone is responsible to insure that all members of the tribe are provided for. Atheists are often better at taking care of the Earth itself. Thus they often serve the Father God and not the Sons of God. Who serves God best, the believer or the atheist?
Anyway I always find it difficult to turn down a stranger who says they need money for food or lodging. So I always have a $20 bill to give away. I cannot tell if they want the money for food or drugs.  Yet I cannot take a chance so I give them the benefit of the doubt. It is not that often that I am asked. So it does not mean very much for me to be generous. Yet it makes them happy for a little while.

Alancalverd said: The real mystery of human stupidity is how the death of one rabbi became a pretext for the murder of untold hundreds more, and their congregations, long after the Roman empire collapsed..
GG: Actually it was very clever. The Gentile Christians stole the Jewish Bible and made it their own. Then all that was necessary was to eliminate all the Jews who obviously knew that Jesus did not serve the Jewish God but served the many Gentile Gods who combined to form the Catholic Church and the later many other Churches of Jesus.

DuffyD says:Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
GG: Unfortunately many religions treat God as an idol. You speak of a God that is an idol. The Jews such as myself speak of God as a partnership. We do something for God and God does something for us. We fight with God. You want to be obedient to the spirit of God. What will that do for you? All you will get is five minutes our time as you are absorbed by the light of your son of God. Then you are gone forever. The Father God will judge all the sons of God and cleanse them. Most faithful Christians will be cleansed and take no part in the world to come. Some will but those who achieve the new Earth of Isaiah will only be a little part of everyone else.
The Muslims get their share. So do the Hindus and the Chinese. The Hopi Indians will have a big share as compared to their small numbers. God asks a lot and gives very little to the individual. Yet that is best.

Colin2b asks:I’m not going to ask whether you are truly serious or one step from an asylum; but I will ask if you’ve read ‘American Gods’.
GG: Yes I am serious. No I am not one step from an asylum. No I have not read American Gods.  I just have somewhat unusual spiritual experiences. And I always ask "why me?". Over the years when things got tough, I would try to convince myself that I hallucinated. That would give me a degree of peace. I would study God and the Universe and not pray. Then in a year or two the dreams would return. God would give me more information. This enabled me to contemplate the data without great emotional strain. So I got used to doing this. In 1981 I was quite mad. But as I quit smoking cold turkey, I did this assignment cold turkey. Slowly I learned to be non-emotional about my work.It is not my job to get anyone to believe what I say. I have no interest in saving the world or anyone in particular.  Right now I am back to house painting. That gives me great peace of mind. The most important thing for me right now is staying alive. My doctor said I could live another 10 years and I prefer that as my family needs me. Otherwise I would prefer to go right now.

Bored Chemist says:Bad news, I'm afraid.
That was the Devil talking to you.
GG: Devil??? Ain't no such thing. The spiritual world consists of God and the various Sons of God which exist within the father. The God of Hitler was the German Son of God collective. NO devil for sure but the collective spirit of the German people. The many Sons of God often oppose God but all they have is control over their own people. In the spiritual world they cannot fight among themselves. However they can cause the living people to kill each other. The German Son of God wanted the Jewish God dead and knew that killing all the Jews would destroy the Jewish God. However the Father God wanted the Jews dead as well since the spirit of Futureman consists of the spirits of the innocent dead. Thus the Father God benefited from the Holocaust.

DuffyD said:You said you were getting pretty darn good at controlling lightning strikes. I thought if you weren't too busy, you might pop by her place of employment and work a little magic and zap her building and its contents into 24 trillions bits. Just kidding.
GG: That was in 1981. I have no ability on my own. God has the ability to control my mind and I suspect that my lightning experiment was more mind control than reality.I tried to get the spirit to lift a chair in my basement. It would not. Thus God could not readily lift a chair however excessive spiritual energy would destroy an object. The body of Jesus was most likely destroyed by spiritual radiation which also move the rock.
As a child I always demanded small miracles as verification of the words and dreams. In the country for vacation I saw an interesting rabbit one day. I asked to see the same rabbit the next day at the same location. This happened for sure but the rabbit was dead. God killed it. Why? It seems that God did not want to always confirm his message in small miracles.

« on: 04/05/2020 12:45:33 »
Colin2B says: Although Ezekiel does add marrying the widow of another priest is ok.
GG: It was expected that when a brother died, the living brother would marry his brothers wife.  In this way the widow would not starve to death. In a similar view what you say ensures that the priests wife and family would be provided for. Jews  could have more than one wife. Often female servants were treated like another wife. Christians did not follow this but the Mormons certainly did.

Kryptoid says: I'm doubtful that's the reason, since celibacy isn't a sin.
GG: You raise a good point. The Catholic Church has always been against condoms. Yet celibacy is another form of birth control. some early Jews at the time of Jesus were celibate. The Church did not want married priests since they wanted all the money the Priests could achieve.

Alancalverd says: So the real question is why does anyone care about anyone else's sexual orientation?

The answer, as in so many cases of arbitrary and inhumane behavior, is religion.
GG: For the small Jewish tribe the emphasis was on the survival of the tribe and homosexuality decreased childbirths. This made it a tribal taboo. For an overpopulated world, it is beneficial for the survival of the planets.
