Hi

Anybody know hot to make bismuth oxide  from bismuth chloride? I have searched online but I  havent found any good info. Care to share with me.

Mix/ dissolve it in water.
Add excess of a solution of  sodium carbonate (washing soda).
Filter off the bismuth carbonate.
Wash it a couple of times with sodium carbonate solution.
Wash with water.
Heat it to decompose the carbonate to get the oxide.

But I'm curious- where did you get bismuth chloride from?
