So give me an answer or two.All live creatures.
Andrew please stop posting nonsense.I totally agree with you. Water is the only substence that resists all difrent states. These are some of the reasons why it's fit to be at centre.
"You cannot destroy water molecules. You can however change them into something else!"
I ask againA human of course!
Perhaps you could give me an alternative definition of 'living' which makes sense.
Is this a human or a computer program I'm talking to?
How do you define life then? That's fine. But remember little is known about the early or future life on
It normally involves things like growth, reproduction, nutrition, sensitivity, excretion, movement and respiration.
This is to distinguish living things (studied by Biology) from non-living things likes rocks, air etc, which are studied in Chemistry and Physics.
Perhaps you could give me an alternative definition of 'living' which makes sense.
all the Biology books.Every single of them?
There's no doubt that living things are alive. That's a definition. The Earth doesn't match that definition any more than a tableknife does. Presumably you have your own definition. How convinient.
Oh, fine. There's nothing more to be said then. The earth and all the living plants are alive.
YesAre you implying it 'wants' to be perfect?Nature already got there if pi is how you judge success..Even the earth is not a perfect circle though it's round. But it
End of thread?
seems it rotates to be perfect.

Is your 'nature' just a part of the whole of existence or is the whole world just a part of nature?I mean nature the lifespan of the entire material world.
I 'she' is greater than everything then why should she need to be 'finding' anything? She made all the rules and could make them how she liked. If she is just a part of a larger whole then do you mean that we are all a huge experiment which she has set up just to see what happens.
Just what do you really mean?
This is not Science, it is Pseudo Phylosophy. There is no evidence but has logic.
Science has no time for anthropomorphism.
QuoteActinomyces is a genus of the actinobacteria class of bacteria...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actinomyces
Some species are responsible for the smell of topsoil, which is often particularly noticeable after rain.
The main chemical responsible from this smell is geosmin.
So the smell of soil thousands of miles apart could be the same if produced
by the same strain of actinomyces, which could be spread across the globe by birds.QuoteCan the soil of two diffrent countries thousands of mile apart be exactly theI mean test.
same as in colour, taste
Taste ? ...

And it could be a giant pink monkey with wings, or a kitten, jellyfish, piece of cheese, computer simulation, halibut, novelists imagination, garden hose...It could be more than the best possible existence that you could imagine.
There is as much justification for thinking that the gaps in our knowledge are explained by a massive wheel of brie as by a god.
Are you a Brie-liever?
That's the jump that Madidus and I are refusing to make. Certainly there are things we don't know and don't fully understand, but that doesn't mean we should invent a god to fill the gaps. What we don't know it could be anything. It could be God as well.
There is more than enough evidence that we do not know everything. While we are trying to digest atoms now we discovered dark matter. That's yet to be learned. When can you make sure that there won't be any other dark matter at the end of it? It's clear the truth is unfolding gradually. What is keeping the ballance these all are signs of a very well capable superior Being who is beoynd any given space and time. But present in it as well as we go along and learn more. This is my belief. We cannot discover God unless He allows it to happen. It's His credit. How convenient.
He is in total cntrol of His identity!
If that's the kind of thing that convinces you then you're welcome to it. I would rather believe or not believe in things based on evidence and reason.
It strikes me that it would have been cheaper and easier to send people to the moon rather than set up a big hoax.I agree with you!
