Title: How well do laymen understand Bell's theorem?

. It may well help others to understand better. It is a difficult concept to grasp. Let me know if it helped.

You're darn right it's hard to understand. I remember looking over the Wikipedia article more than once and still not getting it. I feel like this video did make a bit more progress in giving me an understanding, but I might have to watch it more than once and actually sit down with the numbers myself before I can say that I actually get it.

I agree, Bells theorem is one of toughest mind games you can look up Jeffrey :) This one is another approach to it. https://www.quora.com/What-is-an-intuitive-explanation-of-Bells-theorem

But as I get it it's a statistical approach to whether one can find a realistic explanation to why particles and other phenomena act as they do. There you have 'spooky action at a distance' as Einstein called it, or with 'hidden variables' as Bohm defined it. When it comes to Einstein I don't really think he thought of it as something hidden, instead he thought of it as incomplete.

Interesting video. I agree with Rob about the speed.  I think I would need to watch it several times to get the full benefit.  Not much chance of that! 

Perhaps following Yor_on’s link, in combination with the video would help.
