How can I use a program that requires the internet to run?
I try, and it says "No network connection. Connect to the internet" or something like that. I think it's because either it can't log into the Proxy because it requires a password, or I need to open a port in the firewall? If it's the latter, I don't know which port the program requires for it to work!
Thank you for your help [;D]

Are you trying to hack into your school computers [;)] [;)]?
What kind of program are you using?
-
Most programs that require a net connection to run will have a setting where you can tell it the necessary details for the proxy. You'll have to get those from the net admin.

*Looks worried*
LOL nah. I'm trying to run a live TV-streaming program to watch some football.. Any ideas please?
The program itself won't start up because it requires the internet..
And I've looked on the net to see what ports to open, and it doesn't work..

Try this:
Open a command prompt and type
netstat -a
Next open the live-stream and type
netstat -a
again. Comparing both outputs might give you the port number.
The next big step would be convincing the proxy admin to open that port. [;D]

You could try putty.
