Title: sfc system check and repair
Post by: syhprum on 06/03/2014 22:14:06
SFC scannow seem to be very good at finding system errors but not very good at correcting them even when run several times with an uncorrupted reference source, let us have your experiences in this matter.

I only ever had SFC report an error once , it was solved by removing a dodgy windows update.

I think a repair can be made if you have the original installation media ...

or repair via online download on Windows 8 ...

As I previously stated I had run it several times using the original installation disc for reference to no effect.

Many thanks for the information on DISM a delightfully simple operation which thru up and repaired an error despite me having gone thru the laborious reformat route.
