Title: How can I improve my research paper writing skills?

Hey. I'm a freshman in high school. I feel I don't write well is when I am timed and under pressure. If I am given a topic and asked to write a research papers at home, I do great, simply because I don't have this time limit. But when I have to write in-class papers, I see my classmates writing away and I am staring at my black paper basically stressing out. I know I am not a perfect writer. I have made lots of research paper mistakes  while writing. Please tell me how to Improve my writing skill?
