Faster than speed of light (During the event of Big bang)!??!

If matter does travel above the velocity of light during big-bang then what about Einstein's theory of relativity... is it right or wrong ?

Lately the theory of the early expansion of the universe seems to be explained by assuming that space itself is expanding and so material things within that space need not exceed the speed of light.

The theory of relativity seems to work well in every test that has been devised.
