Do these "good bacteria" supplements work? Are they useful if someone's been on a course of antibiotics?

Hi doc

I think there probably a gimick ,however the wife used to get a lot of pain cramps ec from her intestines, stomach region which had been going on for years but after a friend of hers told her to try it, about a year ago it all the pain stopped. Probably a coincedence though.

I'm sure a Naked Science Show addressed this subject, and concluded that there was some benefit.
