Hi All,
Previously I had POIS after ejaculation which could last a week and more. In course of time my POIS lasted longer and longer. Now I almost always have POIS with severe headache and can't restore or, maybe, it's some other complications. Behind my eyes I have strange feelings of hurt, burning, bursting pains, etc. Now after ejaculation symptoms are getting even worse with more severe brain fog, but after some time I restore to my currently usual POIS.
My neurologist after some tests (CT, Doppler examination, blood tests) said that I have high levels of dopamine, serotonin, noradrenaline which cause my condition. Also, she said, I have some stuff, I don't remember now what it is (next time I'll find out), lower than usual which affects clarity of consciousness (like most of POIS sufferers I have brain fog). The doctor prescribed to me valproic acid to decrease the above neurotransmitters but in vain till now.
Also I have low testosterone and quite high cortisol but, as I was told, it isn't a cause of the condition.

poised, very sorry to hear of the difficulties! For what it's worth, testosterone has helped me _enormously_ with POIS. 5 other members here as well.

Sorry to hear that. You have an extreme form of POIS. Or like you said maybe you have POIS and another disease.
I read that doctors give valproic acid to persons who have bipolar disorder/manic-depressive disorder.
Trough POIS I have also moods swings.

Yeah, you're right. Itīs passing a little now, I'm more at a regular day 2 level. This is the first time I've had a feeling of depression with POIS. Maybe the first time for depression ever... I guess I'll not do THAT again.... I mean I'll do THAT but not THAT, if you know what I mean!? [:b]

Yes, it does sound like a severe form of POIS. Good luck with your remedies. I also had a severe case of POIS but it would eventually go away after a week or so. It was also a combination of psycho medication, hormonal therapy, and the reduction of semen production which helped me.

some news from the last time  []
I have done a "physioscann" yesterday and it is really impressive ! For people who don't know it,
It is a machine which forecast some frequencies to the body to see the reaction and look into a lot of strandards in the body (thanks to a helmet, and a computer... it is russian [])
Thanks to that, i checked my last blood results and it gave almost the same results []
I have checked many other standards and we found out some disorders :

-My Immune system is working a lot for no reason
doctor comment" it seems like a auto-immune disorder"

I asked him to value my dopamine level but unfortunatly, it didn't exist !
He prescribed me a "dopamine and DHEA test" (under my hints)

Dopamine is linked to a auto-immune reaction.

He also told me : "perhaps, you have the normal level of dopamine... but your dopamine isn't working normally... let's see the results! In this case, a dopamine disorder could explain many weird disorders playing on the immun system and the exhaution"

He said he knew a lot of natural treatments to balance the dopamine function  []

Just a little investigation before the real answer of Dr Waldinger we all are looking forward !
