Title: What would liquid nitrogen do to metal or hot molten metal?

Most of us have seen the terminator right?
Is there any real science facts in the event taking place when the bad terminator  comes in contact with the nitrogen?

As for the question:
Well actually, many metals become brittle above the temperature of liquid nitrogen. Normally metals can be bent and beaten into shape, the atoms inside can side over one another so the structure does not break. But when the temperature decreases, the bonds become harder to break and therefore it becomes easier to develop stresses in the metal which can lead to the metal being shattered (like T-1000).

Thank you....T-1000 I couldn't remember what model he was.... the liquid metal dude...Very good C4M...

I wondered about that... and if it could really shatter it like that. thanks for the brilliant answer.
