If it were 12" long it would be a foot.

A foot as in the foot on the end of your leg not 12 inches of measure, foot!

In my experience men always underestimate 12" so most men will probably think their noses are 12" long.

You are correct, sir. We usually keep her locked in confinement until it is safe for her to come out. That is usually when all men, nay, anything that belongs to the animal kingdom (and some plants,) as well as things that can be used to "stimulate" her, are well hidden and locked away.
