Quote from: Thebox on 01/09/2017 15:56:01 I just think that darkness= the absence of the light Congratulations. You have finally worked out that I was right all along. The absence of light in my cellar means it's dark. You could have reached this level of understanding quicker if you had, for example, asked a six-year-old.
I just think that darkness= the absence of the light
I define darkness: localised objects without illumination .
Quote from: Thebox on 03/09/2017 13:49:10I define darkness: localised objects without illumination .Absence of light waves is the absence of illumination and what the world calls dark. The world is not precise in language and will not bend to your understanding. Do you know the physical shape of the photon? If not what are you arguing about?
I am happy to consider the concept of the Photon but unless the observation of a single photon is established,
Do you want normal people to understand science? The way is to at least get your definitions correct so people don't say you are wrong and full of ''beans''.
Let us stick to this very important simple fact, darkness does not exist at all.

You were the one inventing daft definitions. As I said, a child would know why it was dark in the cellar, yet you were trying to pretend that darkness isn't real.

Darkness is not the absence of light ...

But do you not understand there is still light in your cellar when it is dark? Your eyes can not see it of course but devices can.

Yes I understood that a few pages ago when I used the definition (found on line) for darkness that says "with little or no light."So you are manifestly wrong in saying I don't understand it; I pointed it out in the first place. Why write stuff that's obviously not true?

I understand the science well enough. You on the other hand can't seem to agree with yourself about what darkness means.Until you agree with yourself you are wasting your time posting here.(Actually, until you agree with reality, you are wasting time posting here)
I am confident I have refined the definition of darkness down to perfection now Mr Chemist.
Quote from: Thebox on 03/09/2017 17:15:47I am confident I have refined the definition of darkness down to perfection now Mr Chemist.Does anyone else on the planet agree with you?If not then your definition might just as well say " dark = cheese coloured".However, the point is that you previously said it didn't exist; now you are claiming to be the only one who knows how to define it.Though you have previously defined it as both"the absence of the light"and"not the absence of the light".So you clearly have no real idea what you are talking about.
Of course I don't know what I am talking about
