My only gripes with it are that it takes a while to set itself up after you switch it on (about 4-5 seconds)

With the old SLR's, it was never a problem. Is there not a stand-by mode so it's ready to go rather than a cold start?
Karen - my Samsung & the other 1 I can never remember the make of are like yours.
Did you buy it online? I've looked at a couple of online routes, and they seem to be a bit cheaper - is this your experience too?
I took these photos this evening near the stables.
Poo !!..I did not have my camera with me this morning when I went fior a walk, but fortunately I happend to have my paints, brushes and easel with me and I managed to quickly render this image whilst walking through the local woods.
