Did Earth coalesce from 2 medium sized planets?

When Worlds Collided.
Heaven and PreEarth were planets, a binary system orbiting the Sun. This happy arrangement continued for countless years, until, some unfortunate circumstance caused Heaven to collide with PreEarth, forming the Earth.
We investigate the evidence that the Earth is the child of such a collision. We show that the planets Heaven and PreEarth were of similar size and mass. We show that many of the Earth's topographical features, such as mountain chains and ocean basins, were created during the collision. We show that certain hard to explain features of the Earth, such as its magnetic field, can now be more easily understood. And, in establishing all this, we uncover a new theory on the origin of the Moon.
Much of PreEarth's crust survived the impact and is today the continental crust of the Earth. Although broken and contorted, giant pieces of the ancient crust acted as ships floating on a newly molten interior, insulating, and protecting, life from the fires below. Heaven itself, together with its crust, if it had one, disappeared into the interior of the PreEarth, never to be seen again. If we put the broken pieces of PreEarth's crust back together, we obtain the following map.
This map is a flat representation of part of a globe. Hence, some distortion is inevitable.....

.
The whole idea of the theory is summarized by this animatation:
The impact area was that within the circle.
Pangaea (considered as a land area on PreEarth) was outside the circle.
Heaven was completely submerged into PreEarth (causing massive expansion).
When Pangaea (considered as a land area on PreEarth) is mapped from the sphere of PreEarth to a flat map, you get exactly the map of the first graphic up above. In fact, that is how this map was first produced.
Here is a standard map of Pangaea
The expansion in size of PreEarth after swallowing Heaven, caused Pangaea to spilt apart and break up into what we now call continents.
The circular region where Heaven entered is now called the Pacific Ocean (not all the Pacific, but most of it).
Mod edit - we would prefer it if you didn't advertise your own website here, thanks, but this is an interesting hypothesis. I hope it proves fertile grounds for discussion.

It's not clear to me what preearth is trying to achieve by posting their 'theory' here unless it is to try to get people to use his/her names for the two original protoplanets instead of the names that everyone else already uses. The theory is also just a slightly flawed representation of what is already believed to have occurred.
First of all, the two original bodies do not appear to have been of equal size; the Earth was already nearly as big as it is now and the other planetesimal that collided with the Earth is estimated to have been about the size of Mars but with a mass of only about 1/10 that of the Earth. The name of this planetesimal, by wide agreement in the scientific community, is 'Theia'
Furthermore, the Earth and Theia did not appear to form a binary system but rather that they occupied very close and similar orbits around the Sun; in a binary system the two bodies orbit each other around a common barycenter (with the pair both possibly orbiting a larger common body, in this case, the Sun).
None of the geological features present on the Earth today were created in the collision. Indeed, so much energy was released in the collision that it is likely that the surface of the Earth became nearly completely molten, erasing any surface features that may have existed at that point, and shattering Theia into a cloud of debris, which subsequently coalesced into the Moon.
Since the collision, the Earth's landmasses have split up reformed several times, due to tectonic action, and the landmasses that currently exist are the result of just the latest of these cycles.
I think this thread more properly belongs in the 'New Theories' section of the forum.

I did not think that Theia which as you say had the mass of about 10% that of Earth disintegrated and became the Moon.
I thouhgt that after the collision which struck off about 3% of the mass of the Earth Theia went on its way and the debris initially went into orbit around the Earth and later colased into the Moon that has a mass 1/81 that of the earth

As I understand it, the greater part of Theia's mass, comprising its iron core, merged with the Earth; it didn't survive the impact. A small part of the Earth's mantle joined the resulting debris to form the Moon.

Yes, the two planets collided. Earth became the victor of the crash, devouring most of "Theia" in the core and mantle. Much of the ejecta coalesced in Earth's lunar orbit to form the moon. Earth then began, suddenly expanding in magnitude...thus creating what we understand as the break up of Pangea. I love this subject. There is so much more to learn from this great collide.
