Title: Earthlings Speak Moon Language
Post by: Horono on 23/01/2015 10:24:54
Dear colleagues,

I’m representing new theory of creation and development of human language as well as human religion.

The main idea is that the coding system known as language was developed from simple initial concept taken by our brain from the environment.
Like in modern computers, we use two basic constants as 1 and 0 to code everything. The humanity had utilized two basic constants available for observation – two different visual states of the moon. O for full moon and ) for new moon.

By mixing these constants, the brain was able to code any complex concepts. Created letters, words and meanings.

Please find below my works:

We can see evidence of the important role of the moon by checking main religious symbols and concepts. Most of human religions are related to visual allegories of new moon state – the horns, the boat, the cap, C-shape (nimbus), V-shape (masonic symbols) etc.

Please review and give your comments and questions.
Thank you!

the numeral "1" originated as a tally mark ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tally_marks
the numeral "0" , represents an empty container with "nothing" in it.

One of the ancient writing system in the world – Kannada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kannada_language) shows the origin of both symbols:
1 is represented as arc, while 0 is represented as circle

I think speech, which is common to all birds and mammals, preceded written symbols which are peculiar to humans. Thus we had a wide range of aural symbols long before written ones.  Interestingly, the Romans managed to keep accounts and do a fair bit of geometry despite not having a symbol for zero.

You are correct. Just remind how aural symbols appear. It is made by mouth. Look at the mouth and you will see two first basic symbols described above: crescent of halfclosed mouth and circle of opened one:

According to the wikipedia article on Kannada you provided the link to, Kannada is only about 1500 years old. As far as I know, the first use of a written zero was in ancient Egypt, about 4000 years ago (the wikipedia article on zero: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/0_%28number%29#History shows this symbol, which does not look very lunar).

Other written numbers were used thousands of years earlier. (zero was a major revolution)

I do think the moon was very important for early humans' concepts of time, but I don't think it had as much to do with our development of numbers.

now say "zero" and "one" - exactly the opposite shapes.

According to Wiki: Proto-Kannada is said to have evolved after separating from its source around c. 1500 BCE
It means that roots of described writing system are much older than 3500 years and appeared at the same time with Egyptian.
Take a look at this script. In most cases, the letters are combinations of two graphic constants: circle and arc.

I don’t claim that they have invented Zero earlier then Egyptians. Numbers are the part of the writing system, so they came into existence by same way.
The presentation of idea of nothing by symbol could be made by someone 5000 years ago, but the idea of nothing was “invented” much more earlier. The moon was very suitable object to transfer such idea. During the lunar month, it disappears for 3 days from the sky and visually represents nothing. This concept does not need writing system to understand and spread.
Look at the English “no one” that shows the logic then nothing is not one. Not one is a zero.
Coming back to Egyptian zero we have such evidence from your wiki-link: The symbol nfr, meaning beautiful, was also used to indicate the base level in drawings of tombs and pyramids
So why do you think something that is not important is transferred with such epithets?

For completely moon-lovers as were Egyptians that time, the only object called good, excellent, gracious is their visible god – the moon. “To recover” well demonstrates that it is said about the moon – the object that recovers from zero to full, from young to old every month.
