I'd say it is more analogous to a straight line that wobbles...

If you wobble a straight line, curves propagate along it, and curves cause gravity..

finger nails are so paper thin on newborns.. I wonder if the amniotic fluid keeps them softer which prevents scratching..

Surely if gravity is just curved space-time, then it doesn't propagate at all and has no speed :-s
