Do particles pop in and out of existence? Virtual particles aren't actually particles, apparently.  They are just a mathematical tool. They cannot be detected by experiments, right? So, how do we know that it's correct? If partials do appear and vanish back to wherever, what replaces the void they occupied? If the universe is just made up of waves, and it's these waves that create the partials, then it's just an oscillation of a wave? So what's the wave?   Very confused now... any answers that can be put into visual terms?

My question is, the timescale of living things, we have the Mayfly — The Shortest Lifespan and The Greenland shark is recognized as one of the longest-living animals on Earth, but its lifespan of up to 500 years, non-animal is Methuselah, a bristlecone pine in the White Mountains of California, stands at the ripe old age of about 5,000, but could anything be classed as living i.e. birth, growth, reproduction, and death. Be applied to other forms of life for argument’s sake Crystal based life, something that takes millions of years in a life cycle of birth, growth, reproduction, and death. Or is life just based in human time life spans?

OK  the news today was about a coroner has ruled that air pollution contributed to the death of a nine-year-old girl in the first case of its kind in the UK. we hear about car exhaust pollution, but can the real reason be tyres? Some 5.8 grams per km of harmful particles produced by tyres during driving due to wear, Particulate matter is microscopic solids or liquid droplets that can be inhaled and exposure to this type of pollution can affect both your lungs and your heart.
Measurements found that 5.8 grams per kilometre of harmful particles are emitted by tyres as they wear when a car is being driven.
That compares to 4.5 milligrams per kilometre produced from exhaust pipes.
How come this isn't being addressed?  Also shoe trainers are made from problematic materials including nylon, synthetic rubber and plastic they wear down creating the same problematic particulates into the air the same way, so are we blaming all onto just one area of concern when we should be addressing the bigger picture here?

How do we assign  colour to shapes or numbers?

If the universe is expanding... is the space between the fundamental particles that make up atoms expanding also? so are we expanding? and if not why only the space of the large expands?

if you had a sealed fish tank with a small brick of carbon dioxide at the bottom and let it Sublimate at room temp of say 21 c and at average ground level, would the gas stay at the bottom of the tank with air above it for all time or would it eventually mix with the the rest of the air (gas) in the tank?

ok this is a bit of a puzzle can we blame the volcano? as thousands noticed that their clocks were running 15 minutes fast. The fast forward time keeping has affected a wide spectrum of digital clocks and watches - from computers through to alarm clocks. was it due to the quartz crystal oscillators in the clocks with very precise frequency 32,768 Hz some how getting zapped by a natural "EMP" electromagnetic pulse?

for example is time compressed at a black hole due to its mass and its immense gravitational influence or will time remain the same? Could time be connected directly to the mass of matter, even a photon might have a very small mass therefore creating its own time?
Could there be areas in the universe where there is no mass/ matter in it.. a total absence of everything? Would time still exist there?

OK its a fact that the universe is expanding  but is the space between atoms expanding at the same rate too? and if not why did matter ie atoms and the space between them stop expanding shortly after the big bang?

The Moon will pass closer to the Earth than it has in almost a decade next week and it is believed by some that the 'supermoon' could cause havoc with the world's weather cause earth quakes and tsunami, though most scientists don't think so,  my question is what is the measured gravitational force of the moon on the earth and how much closer would the moon need to be to cause the world problems?

I was playing with my cat this eve with a Red laser pointer Output wavelength: 650 nm. and the cat would chase it all over the floor but when i used the green laser pointer 532 nm which is brighter, the cat would look past it and take no intrest in it at all, but when switched back to the red he would continue on running after it, so are cats blind to green light?

in other words  if you was to drill a hole through to the centre of the earth and measure the Gravitational forces in steps along the way would it be the same as it
is on the surface of the planet or proportional to the mass passed along the way or is gravity infinite?

Assuming it was possible to create a magnet made of anti-matter, would it attract or repel anti-matter iron / normal Iron?

Would you have anti-magnetism or is magnetism the same in an antimatter universe as it is here if so why?
