We have regular fat, saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and god knows how many more types of fat.
But what does it all mean? Which fats are good, which are bad? It's ok to tell us that this margerine is better for you because it has less of one type of fat, but what does it all mean?

we should be more specific in terms of questions:
the general part should be carefully studied by the usual wiki-means, then a specific question posed...
