Title: FOGGER'S LAMENT.
Post by: Don_1 on 25/08/2009 09:42:57
Should we speak,
In apostrophe and comma?
To demonstrate the difference,
Twixt plural and owner.

Could we say ‘capital’,
When starting a sentence?
Or say ‘full stop’,
From this time hence.

For I do become,
So very confused,
By the way,
Our grammar is used.

Without stopping to breathe,
I read a paragraph.
I have no wind left,
To raise a laugh.

‘Full stop’ we say,
Here in the UK
But you say ‘Period’,
In the US of A.

It doesn’t matter,
Which version you choose.
But please use one,
Or the thread I lose.

So try this one,
I ask you now.
‘Bout a farmer,
And his cow.

Open quotation marksThis cow is mineClose quotation marksComma
Said the farmer aloudFull stop
Open quotation marksNo the cowApostrophes mineClose quotaion marksComma

You see it didn’t hurt,
You know you can do it.
Use punctuation,
Or it all sounds like sh1t!
