Title: Why does my BT Hub phone ring when someone calls my home line?

I've got 2 fixed phone lines. 1 is a bog standard BT landline and the other came with my BT Hub broadband router. They have different numbers and are plugged into separate phone sockets on opposite sides of the room. Whenever I get a call on the standard landline the hub phone also rings. Why does that happen?

It is possible to switch the Hub phone ringers off for landline calls, e.g. moi ...

You can get access to your BT Hub settings by putting http://bthomehub.home in your browser, (a password is required (http://www.filesaveas.com/bthomehub_login.html)).

Warning: it is possible to cut youself off from the internet by altering some of these BT hub controls.
