Chemistry / What is the proton numbers of carbon in CH3+?
« on: 23/07/2019 06:03:37 »
1. What are the protons number and electrons number carbon in CH3+? As I know carbon atom has 6 electrons and 6 protons in a neutral state but in this case 5 protons or 6 protons and how many electrons?
2. How do the carbon get positive charge on it?

5
Chemistry / In this reaction How many electrons carbon anion has?
« on: 22/07/2019 16:04:16 »
In this reaction, How many electrons carbon anion has 7 or 8? I mean C- has 7 electrons or 8 electrons and H+ has one proton, how to H+ ion combine with H3C- ion to form CH4 because H+ ion needs 2 electrons? I am confused. Please show the mechanism.

6
Chemistry / How many protons and electrons of C and Cl are in this compound?
« on: 22/07/2019 14:54:48 »
How many protons and electrons of C and Cl are in this compound?

7
Chemistry / CH3+ and CH3- ions?
« on: 21/07/2019 07:06:03 »
What is the name of these ions?
1. CH3+
2. CH3-
What ions do they combine with to make a compound or molecule? and do they form an ionic bond or coordinate bond?

8
Chemistry / What's the formula of Boric acid?
« on: 04/10/2018 14:59:30 »
Is it B(OH)₃^- or simple B(OH)₃?

9
Chemistry / How to calculate the valency of 'Al' in 'Al2O3'?
« on: 04/10/2018 14:52:41 »
How to calculate the valency of 'Al' in 'Al2O3'? It should be '2' or '3'?

10
Chemistry / Is the molar mass applicable to both the atomic mass and molecular mass?
« on: 17/09/2018 17:47:28 »
Is the molar mass applicable to both the atomic mass and molecular mass?

11
Chemistry / Why NO₂- ion got the negative charge?
« on: 16/09/2018 17:12:04 »
Why NO₂- ion got the negative charge?
If we see the structure of  NO₂-, each atom in this ion has full filled their octet. So, why there is a negative charge on this ion?

12
Chemistry / Why are the sigma molecular orbitals lower in energy?
« on: 11/09/2018 17:00:16 »
Why are the sigma molecular orbitals lower in energy than the corresponding atomic orbitals?

13
Chemistry / Why are the half-filled and fully filled orbitals more stable?
« on: 08/09/2018 18:42:58 »
Why are the half-filled and fully filled orbitals more stable? Could you explain it, please?

14
Chemistry / What is the difference between 'Neutral element' and 'stable element'?
« on: 03/09/2018 18:59:03 »
As I know 'O' is neutral as O has the same number of protons(8 protons) and electrons(8 electrons). But O fulfills its octet getting 2 extra electrons. So the sign of O is O²⁻. So in this condition, why should I call oxygen stable? but why not should I call a neutral oxygen a stable element? Could you explain it, please?

15
Chemistry / If I break H2SO4, what should I get?
« on: 03/09/2018 02:31:57 »
If I break H2SO4, we get 2H⁺ and SO₄²⁻. Is it possible to write the same form in a different way such as 2H⁺ to H⁺⁺ and SO₄²⁻ to 2SO₄⁻? Do they mean the same thing?

16
Chemistry / How to find the equivalent weight?
« on: 02/09/2018 18:16:36 »
As we know, Equivalent weight = molecular weight/number of H+ replaced
So, in H2SO4, E = M/2 = 98/2 = 49g/equivalent of H+
1.  But in this reaction, NaOH + H2SO4 = NaHSO4 + H2O how to calculate the equivalent weight of H2SO4?
2. 2NaOH + H3PO4 = Na2HPO4 + H2O, How to calculate the equivalent weight of 'H3PO4'?

17
Chemistry / How to find n-factor for 'So₂' and 'So₃'?
« on: 30/08/2018 18:18:39 »
How to find n-factor for 'So₂' and 'So₃'? As far as I know, n-factor means H+ ions or OH- ions but here we can't get H+ or OH- from SO2 or SO3. So how to find? Please explain.

Chemistry / In NaCl, How many moles of Na+ and Cl- form 1 mole of NaCl?
« on: 30/08/2018 16:13:12 »
If we split 1 mole of NaCl, we get Na+ and Cl-.
But my first question is
1. How many moles of Na+ and Cl- form 1 mole of NaCl?

If we split a molecule of NaCl, We get Na+ and Cl-.
My second question is
2. how many Na+ and Cl- form a molecule of NaCl?

Chemistry / In the compound 'NH₃', why 'N' is in the left?
« on: 29/08/2018 18:22:29 »
If we split 'NH₃', we get 'N³⁻' and 'H³⁺' and in 'NH₃', N is more electronegative than H. So 'H' should be in the left and the formula should be'H₃N' as in 'NaCl' where 'Cl' is more electronegative than 'Na' So could you explain why this structure in 'NH₃'?
