Physiology & Medicine / Is it safe to bump up ankle weights for a week before a karate tournament?

I have been using 2.5lb ankle weights for speeding up my kicks and movements in karate and I have began to wear them around 13 hours a day, and I was wondering up I bump the weight up to around 5 to 10 pounds if it will be safe, the principal is that during the normal week I want to wear 5lb of weight on each ankle then the week of a tournament go all week (almost 24 hours a day) wear 10lb then at the tournament take them off right before sparring making my legs extremely lighter than my body is used to thus increasing the speed of my body and kick........but then again its not worth it if I cause even more damage to my legs than I already have.

  [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!] [!]this is officially the worst week EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......first i mess up my knee, then get shot down by a girl who i liked for a long time, then mess my knee up again, THEN i have a ladder fall down while i was climbing down it and bruise up my shin on the same leg my knee is messed up on, and then to top it off the patriots lose the super bowl 17-14............i have heard of bad luck but this is ridiculous.. whats next i get kidnapped by ninja monkeys or something! I'm having some girl trouble......theres this girl....whom i like..and every time i get near her i freeze. anyone have some good advice,shes not a real popular girl, she enjoys company. talks to anyone that listens. and shes in 2 of my classes. and with my current track record with girls things aren't looking so hot so i know i need some good advice

i heard that they put metal flakes in the tattoo ink, and metal conducts electricity. so lets say that i had a tattoo on my torso... lets make it a bullseye. if i was shocked there by a stun gun would it be worse than being shocked in the same place without the tattoo

last night my karate instructor decided do put some Major punishment on my ribs.

first he told me to lay on my back and put my arms above my head then told the other students there to start kicking me and i took alot of rib shots, then he told one of them th stand on my stomach then told the other one to get on me, then he told them to get off and he got on (keep in mind he is 250 pounds, a little less than twice my weight) then i told him to get off because i thought he broke one of my ribs,

now they hurt to the touch and they hurt when i laugh or lean to my right side, i know they aren't broken because if they was i wouldn't be able to get up, I'm thinking they are either bruised or cracked but then again I'm only 14 and I'm not an anatomy expert

Ive been wanting to get into paintball for a while now. some of my friends go on the weekends and i hear its loads of fun, so i started researching paintball guns and i found one which i like. the tippmann C-3 is the first paintball gun EVER to use propane as a power source, designed for players who live nowhere near a filling station (me) and it fires 50,000 shots with one 16.4 oz canister. but is it safe. propane is flamable but it is also used for household power, so what i want to know is before i put this on my Christmas list, what are the chances of this blowing me to the gates of hell.
