Hello!
Which healthcare companies provide support for research ideas?
E.g. you submit the idea and they give you funding or help you to research it?
Either medical device or pharmaceutical company.
I know Medtronic has EUreka portal where you submit ideas and Merck has several funding competitions.
Any other?

All of them, in principle, provided you have at least a provisional patent, some evidence of feasibility and effectiveness, and a suggested route to a profitable market.

How can you have provisional patent if you don't know your concept works and if you have not finalised the design?

If you don't do your homework, you won't get any credit.
Wishes are ten-a-penny. Things that work are a lot more expensive. If you don't know whether it will work, why should I pay you for a wild guess?
A patent protects the "means of ....." The final design is covered by copyright, which will be owned by the manufacturer, so don't worry about that.

You can never be sure it will work, there are tons of examples of last-minute failed technologies.
Look at this recent example:

These people claim to have many years of experience and expertise, they even tricked numerous organisations to raise money and get awards, yet they failed miserably. They were supposed to be the hardcore 'experts'.

So why would anyone pay you for less?

So why would anyone pay you for less?
Because my idea is promising.

So patent it. Nobody will talk to you without a patent, because anyone who wants to invest will be looking for exclusive use of your idea and proven priority of invention.
