A friend sent me this reference. I like clever design but it often falls way short of the hype. This seems an exception.

I beleive this has just won a design award
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8571838.stm
I saw this a few months back and though that is really clever, but now it is getting real recognition, I imagine this will become very common and make Mr Choi rich.
The only reservation is that by having moving parts it will be liable to wear and eventual breakage and I think the "The Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994" require all plugs to be prewired in the UK and to meet BS1363.
(and yes those are real regualtions made under the Consumer Protection Act

I must admit that I rather like that design, especially the possibility of it being used whilst still folded.

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!
