Hi all, I just love dotty inventions. SAT NAVs seem to be getting everywhere. A few weeks ago they were fitting them to old peoples walking frames so that if they wondered off they could find their way home. This week they have put them onto shopping trolley's/cart's so that if the supermarket moves things around you can find out which aisle they moved too.
Where else will they put them?

I may be wrong, but I don't think satnav is yet accurate enough to pinpoint individual isles. What some large stores use is their own in-house nav system using microwave signals that a device on the trolly triangulates. That's been around for a few years.

It should be good at finding Toblarones then.

I like your thinking. Perhaps they could fit them on door keys so that when you are drunk you can still get them in the lock.

Hmmm... how about fitting them to the brats so we know if they really are in bed?

Ya.. It's probably not sat navigation, because that's too expensive to go on every cart anyway.. It's probably that they put a ermm... whatcha-call-it.. thing that beeps signals out, and the cart has like transmitter blah dee blah device things, so that it knows where abouts it is
