Title: Drinking Hair Gel
Post by: artistic on 16/08/2006 09:45:27
My friend actually drinks Hair Gel!! She hold it like 5 cm from her mouth and then squeezes the sachet for around 1 second and she drinks it! I saw her do it. At first she gets stomach upset and then she does not experience any more problems!

How is this possible [?]

Hi Artistic (how are you today ?)

Does she have a hairy tummy ?

Or perhaps she has a hirsute anus and prefers to apply the hair gel in this way !

How is what possible ?...the fact she gets a tummy ache when consuming a hair product ?...hmmm !!...let me see !!!

Well...I am not an expert but the last time I looked Hair Gel was not being served as an aperitif or indeed as an after dinner drink in any restaurant that I know....this leads me to the extraordinary conclusion that hair gel is generally not recognised as a drink and is in fact best served on the hair !

I expect that hair gel is not fatal to the human body when ingested in small quantities but also does no good whatsoever too...hence the temporary tummy upset.

I am really interested as to why she consumes it Artistic....was it just to gross you out ?..or is it her favourite tipple ?...can she recommend any other cosmetic for consumption ?

For the record....this site does not condone the consumption of hair gel or any other cosmetic type product..

Some hair care products contain alcohol.

Mouthwash has a high alcohol concentration:-

" Active ingredients in commercial brands of mouthwash can include...water, sweeteners such as sorbitol and sodium saccharine, and a significant amount of alcohol (around 20%). Because of the alcohol content, it is possible to fail a breathalyzer test after rinsing one's mouth ".

  • water, providing most of its mass

  • a humectant and plasticizer, usually a sugar alcohol, eg. sorbitol

  • water-soluble polymer that binds to the hair, usually a cationic polyelectrolyte like polyvinylpyrrolidone. Other commonly-used polymers include polyvinyl alcohol and hydroxypropyl cellulose.

Perhaps you should be asking why she does this at all and not why it doesn't cause her problems.
