If you go to bed feeling hungry, why are you not hungry when you wake up?
Are you not?
Sometimes, if I am hungry for a long time (not necessarily going to bed between), I will forget that I am hungry (I seem to go into starvation mode, where I begin to shut down my systems, particularly my digestive system, to conserve energy), but then as soon as I have the first whiff of food, or the first food begins to hit my digestive system, then I remember how ravenous I am.
Usually, a good indicator of whether I am hungry, even if I am not otherwise conscious of it, is a heightened sense of smell.

No, i don't feel hungry when i wake up. maybe I'm just weird! ( rhetorical question, no answers please ) Then again i eat very little, for instance. i came off a night shift this morning at 6am, i last ate at 10:30 the previous night. i will have a bowl of cereal in and hour or so then nothing more until i have something about 10:30 again tonight. this will more than likely be just a bag of chips.
if i do feel hungry or peckish, this does not make me actually want to eat. partly due to laziness, and possibly due to smoking. if it is an appetite suppresant.

I wonder if you are really hungry when you go to bed or (like me) you might just be greedy ..LOL....or it could be a craving !..often I go to bed wishing I could eat the rest of that pie in my fridge !!...and I find the next morning the craving is gone the...........!!
hmmmmmm..mind you...I never wake up refreshed and am so knackered that I wouldn't want to eat until I have been up a while !!...hmm *sheepy ponders*....probably best scrap what I said then !!.....I'm not sure it applies !!

Oh gwwwwwwwd !!..I have to say I'm generally a savoury person...but Rhubarb and Apple Crumble with custard !!....I'm getting wet just thinking about it too !!
