That's a good question...I requested a moderator to delete all of them (not jokes) because the people who post them are abusing the poor old jokes thread. I hope you're happy now that we are getting closer to real jokes...

(DISCLAIMER: There is no real boundary to what counts as a joke and what does not. I am making the decision in this thread that any heated political debates( no matter how dumb or funny that politition is) is not allowed. Thanks.

Very True Bored chemist, but would you like to have a heated stream of "jokes" in your jokes thread (if you made one)? Those comments were paragraphs long.

Hello everyone. Or should I say whoa, whoa, whoa!! What did I miss?!!
I put email notifications on a century ago, but since I have not logged in for such a long time, they seemed to disappear...until today. I decided that it was time to log on back, and when I arrived, I saw a massacre of comments that were not remotely related to any (funny) jokes in my jokes thread. What a shame I cannot believe the absurdity of you guys, winging over an important, but pointless topic, in a JOKES THREAD! Ths is not some sort of Bazar...
I'm sorry for my anger burst there, so I will make an appropriate thread for the appropriate topic in the appropriate place, so you guys can have your chat on the latest American politics. Thank you and carry on JOKING.

Also, @Jolly2, you did not sound really jolly there, and I did not have time to read every letter of the absurd comments. If it was in an appropriate thread, only the subject of the heated debate would have been absurd... (that goes for everyone).

Just letting you know, the two quotes are not related to each other. Nostradamus was 'apparently' referring to COVID, while the prophet was referring to Constantinople.

There was nothing to stop you working it out for yourself.

I know, I just want to see peoples' reactions.

I think Muhammed said that because many(23 off the top of my head) armies tried to conquer Constantinople, but only one will succeed. He had a vision that Constantinople will be conquered by the Muslims. Also, the Quraan indirectly talks about the conquest of the city. I advise you to read this book about the religious history of the city from an Islamic view. It also talks about how it was a Christian city.

From what I’ve seen of Nostradamus’s writings they are so vague you could apply them to many happenings and that is true of the ones you have quoted.

Very true. This is used as a time filler for online gossipers/tabloids. What do you think of the other prediction?

I am committed, but the numbers don't register in my head. I'm ok with numbers in chemistry and biology, but not physics and maths. I don't know why.
