Better, worse, or about the same as Google?

A search engine like Google apparently...
http://www.bing.com/
It looks fancy but then again looks can be very deceiving.

google's good enough for me. Looks to be pretty much the same as google, but then again I've only ever used google.

Someone I met at a dinner on Friday (hello Michael!) said he swears by Bing, although I couldn't understand quite why - I'll have to try it...

I've used it once or twice, and it doesn't seem to be that different from Google.

I haven't tried it, but some coworkers I've spoken to really like. They say it is much better at parsing out results of question style searches, as opposed to keyword searches.

Actually, its not too bad. It's Microsoft corps. engine, but you probably know that by now.
If you want anything, Google, MSN(Bing) and Yahoo are the best excepting when local searches are required. Generally each country has some local search company.

Regarding Microsoft's Bing, it's worth reading this article:

From what I saw of it, it seems like it goes through your history and then gives you websites related to what you normally look at, but containing the words you searched.

I get directed to it automatically for translations from a small range of languages but do not always rely on them.

Has Microsoft gone Bing? How many Search Engines do they need to have? Seems fairly unrealiable to me.
But when that is said, I am actually pretty impressed by Bing. It was, so to say, above my expectations.
