hey,
I'm doing a chem ERT on aspirin
the task is to evaluate two different techniques that can be used to determine the purity of aspirin tablets
IE we have to determine how much of the actual chemical aspirin there is in a tablet.
The first technique we are given is volumetric analysis which involves backwards titrations etc
i was wondering if anybody knew any other techniques that could be interesting to research, or where i could find information about it
thanks for the help

If I was doing it I'd use HPLC.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPLC
But I doubt that option is open to you.
Is the technique you are given and acid/base titration or a redox titration? Both sorts would work.

awesome
we don't actually have to do it so not being ble to do it won't be a problem
thanks again
