Hello Everybody,
I'm not a tea drinker but in the last two weeks I've had three people mention to me when I've served them some tea in a china cup that it tastes so much better that way.
Why ?
I feel I just don't know how I can cope unless this beverage related query is answered.
I'm a coffee man, but your quali-tea answers will prevail upon me a knowledge I do not possess....Thanks

I fully agree neil.... tea is amazing in china cups...!!! maybe its the way you sip it in a bone china mug makes it overflow different taste areas of your tongue at different times, with a mug you always seem to gulp?
Not sure, but it definately seems to me that tea is better with thinner cups!

It's like they say, "presentation matters." Tea poured from silver tea pots into delicate bone china cups only seems better to you because you think it should. It just enhances the "tea experience."
Even last Monday's leftover, reheated pot roast tastes better when you sit down with a cloth napkin, drink from a wine glass and arrange the food on a nice plate.

...thank you DrPhil and Exodus.....I've also heard the same about drinking beer out of a glass rather than a can.....so, is it a placebo effect then ?....seems like it is...but these individuals were adamant about the bone china,....but i agree, it's the ' experience ' rather than a proven scientific diagnosis.
cheers
