In clinical trials or studies what is meant by the terms "blind" and "double blind" studies/analysis ?

Blind means the subjects of the experiment do not know if they are a real group or a control group.  (i.e. real drug or placebo, for instance)  Double blind means the people administering the experiment do not know either, this way unintentional cues given from the researcher cannot be picked up by the subject.
