New Theories / Re: An essay in futility, too long to read :)
« Last post by yor_on on Today at 09:28:40 »In fact, if it will happen it will do it, interacting with a lot of new parameters, not existing 8 000 years ago. All to the worse.
Do you understand that one?

" Monitoring Thwaites like a coming storm
Summers said the research team had expected their modeling to show the glacier?s eastern shear margin to be most susceptible to migrating away from the main trunk. They were surprised to find that, in some scenarios, the western boundary appears prone to widening as well."

We never meet anything like this before, and we have no 'instinctive reactions' to it either.
And the final nail, will be tippings.

« Last post by yor_on on Today at 08:55:48 »It is in some way remarkably stupid, the way special interest interact with our politicians, in other way it's perfectly understandable, still quite sordid though. And it represents a mindset, created by and through our industrial revolution, a farming game of 11 000 years reaching a fulcrum. In Sweden rents has hit historical heights the last few years, a lot of it due to profit margins falling apart due to housing companies taking loan to build more. If I did the same and started to fault on them I would find no compensation, but here the government supports those companies, and takes their failed bets out on me, in form of a much higher rent.
