Well , at least I contributed !!!...but....I did in fact post somewhere on this site a few months ago one of my own recipes for tuna with Soysauce and olive oil etc...if you can't find it I'll re-write it here...plus a few others too.....I do all the cooking in the house so I've conjured up a few tasty dishes in my time....but lets hope others come here with some worthwhile contributions.....but here's a quickie if you like avocado.

Mash it up,  add  some finely chopped onion, and a garlic clove, add a little olive oil, season with salt and pepper and spread on crusty bread.....delish !!!...you can spice it up further with tabasco.......makes a great sarnie too !!

My boyfriend cooked a pizza the other day. Burnt edges and frozen in the middle.

Get some giant mushrooms, chop loads of nice veggies and cheese and stuff it in the mushroom, and roast. Yummy yummy, I love mushrooms.

Get a chicken breast, slice nearly all the way through it, stuff the middle with cheese and anything else you fancy (ham is good, so is mushroom and onion). Squash the breast back together wrap in bacon (use a couple of cocktail sticks to hold it all together) put in the oven till it’s cooked all the way through. Serve with potatoes, veggies and a sauce if you like.

Get 2 digestive biscuits put one on a plate, stick a marshmallow on top then put the other digestive biscuit top of the marshmallow and put in the microwave for 30 seconds. It is so so yummy. To make it even better, melt some chocolate and then dip the cooked marshmallow sandwich in to the chocolate.

My host mother gave me a big book of french recipes as a parting gift. I just sent it in the package of books that didn't fit in my suitcase, unfortunately. 2 simple entrées that I really like:

Chop up tomatoes (1 to 1 & 1/2 per person)into small bits, put them in a salad bowl. Chop up white onions (the little ones that aren't as strong) into tiny bits (a teaspoon per person or to taste) splash some olive oil into the bowl (enough to give a bit of juice in the bottom of the bowl, but not too much or it'll taste watery) take some fetta cheese, crush it with a fork and add it to the bowl and mix and voilà. Add a bit of salt if you like.

Put some carrots through the food processor, put some apple through the food processor (about 1/8 - 1/5 as much carrot) add some salad dressing (oil, vinagar, mustard, salt) and a handful of cashew nuts and there you go.

Am I dead? Am I alive? I'm both!

.........oh boy .........I'm starving...!!...here's a fantastic very naughty stupidly easy dessert...but oh my is it tasty.........get a pack of ginger snaps....y'know those round sweet ginger bicuits.....put them in a bowl lying on their edge, (as if you just discarded the packet wrapper but left the biccys as they are)...grab some whipping cream, whip it !!!...smother the entire biscuits with it and leave covered over night in the fridge.....give it a good 24 hours......you'll find that that not only has the cream taken on the flavour of the biscuits but has also been absorbed by them, is now soft and cuts just like a cake...and oh my...it's really very naughty !!!!...of course you can use any biscuit...digestives are good, but the ginger ones are best....and I hate ginger !!!!!!!

CAT LITTER CAKE RECIPE

CAKE INGREDIENTS:

1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix 1 package white sandwich cookies
1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix
A few drops green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent

SERVING "DISHES AND UTENSILS":

1 NEW cat-litter box
1 NEW cat-litter box liner
1 NEW pooper scooper

Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan.

Prepare pudding and chill.

Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or food processor.

Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of cookie crumbs.

Mix with a fork or shake in a jar.

Set aside.

When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl.

Toss with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the mixture moist but not soggy.

Place liner in litter box and pour in mixture.

Unwrap 3 Tootsie Rolls and heat in a microwave until soft and pliable.

Shape the blunt ends into slightly curved points.

Repeat with three more rolls.

Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture.

Sprinkle remaining white cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green crumbs lightly over top.

Heat 5 more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted.

Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with crumbs from the litter box.

Heat the remaining Tootsie Roll until pliable and hang it over the edge of  the box.

Place box on a sheet of newspaper and serve with scooper.

Enjoy! ------

Too bad I can't claim original credit.  A friend e-mailed it to me, so I don't know who came up with it first.

Good to have you back in our flock god! [;)]

Talking of that cat litter box... I had a nasty experience on sunday morning as upon waking from my drink instilled stupor, i rolled out of my sleeping bag inside a tent in the garden and moved towards the exit... i almost had a heart attack as i looked down through my bleery eyes to see a pile of what looked like vomit... not good for a queezy stomach... i thought someone had popped in during the night and left us a present! Well luckily it was a pile of Bombay mix that had been knocked across the floor... the relief i tell you!
