Dearest Darlings Of Knowing All,
As a sheepy I of course luff to play conkers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conker) with the seeds of the Horse-chestnut tree. There's absolutely nothing I like more than planning my entire day around the organising of as many conker games as I can get !...I've got a 200er !!..so there ..nyahh nyahh !!

Other Conkers Being Checked Out By Ewe
Notice how non uniform they are ?...They are all different sizes and shapes !!...why's that then ?..most seeds from other plants are pretty much all the same looking...so...why do conkers all look different ?...ewe have round ones, oval ones..wedgey ones !!..small ones ..big ones !!
Ewe see...I really want to know...I want to ziggazigaarr !!
Can ewe help me understand the nature of conker non-correlation ?

Conkers are the fruit (well, nut actually) of the Horse Chestnut tree. Like other fruits they will differ in size according to the ammount of water and nutrients available.

I see , fruit eh ?...so, they're not seeds then ?..I can't actually plant one and grow my own Horse Chestnut tree in my window box ?

Those are cool seeds do they dry hard .. are they poison...I have never heard of a Horse chestnut tree! Very cool!
They look a bit like wild cu CUM bers???? LOL....Stop playing with those babies right now you naughty Sheepy! LOL

I used the term 'fruit' losely.
The green spiny shell of the tree usually conatins two seeds (conkers) which I am sure are classified as nuts. Pop one in a pot, and you will have your own personal supply of conkers. Though it might take a while before you reap the benefits of your cultivation.
Karen Yes, unlike the Sweet Chestnut, these are toxic. BTW the Horse and Sweet chestnut are not related.

Thanks DON... They are cool interesting shaped seeds as Neily points out.... it is odd that they are not symetrick.. it that their genetic make up or some such thing....that causes each one to be different?

Thanks for the clarification Don. I might just plop one in a pot ..I don't mind waiting till next summer for my horse chestnut harvest !! [;D]
