There's talk of a 4 day week (with longer working days) and 3 day weekend.

That would be really cool! My Daughter works those shifts now and really loves them. My son has worked them and Bob ha even worked them the last two months on a job he has been doing. with the exception that they were doing 14  to 16 hour shifts for 4 days on night shift and three days off then the next 4days on day shift and it was hard for them all to get their heads straight..for shifts..

I have the solution it's simple...why not just make the weekend from Monday to Friday (inclusive)  and the week days Saturday & Sunday ?

yes..I am sure this would work !

Because you do not want to miss a single minute of your weekend.. it tends to be your time off or family time or just time to yourself!

I have to get up early every day to see to the tortoises, except through Dec to early March, when they hibernate.

well the tortoises are a good reason to wake early on weekends!  Cool!
Do you sleep in during hibernation months or are you running on routine by that time?

I wouldn't mind joining the tortoises actually. Just think, go to sleep for 3 months.
