Well, Jolly2,
That's a good question...I requested a moderator to delete all of them (not jokes) because the people who post them are abusing the poor old jokes thread. I hope you're happy now that we are getting closer to real jokes...

(DISCLAIMER: There is no real boundary to what counts as a joke and what does not. I am making the decision in this thread that any heated political debates( no matter how dumb or funny that politition is) is not allowed. Thanks.

Hello everyone. Or should I say whoa, whoa, whoa!! What did I miss?!!
I put email notifications on a century ago, but since I have not logged in for such a long time, they seemed to disappear...until today. I decided that it was time to log on back, and when I arrived, I saw a massacre of comments that were not remotely related to any (funny) jokes in my jokes thread. What a shame I cannot believe the absurdity of you guys, winging over an important, but pointless topic, in a JOKES THREAD! Ths is not some sort of Bazar...
I'm sorry for my anger burst there, so I will make an appropriate thread for the appropriate topic in the appropriate place, so you guys can have your chat on the latest American politics. Thank you and carry on JOKING.

Also, @Jolly2, you did not sound really jolly there, and I did not have time to read every letter of the absurd comments. If it was in an appropriate thread, only the subject of the heated debate would have been absurd... (that goes for everyone).

Elon Musk's speeches available on Youtube have answered most of your questions. His goal is to make humanity a multiplanetary species in order to pass the "great filter". It's a prerequisite to form type 2 civilization in Kardashev scale. The starships are designed and built using methane as fuel for that very reason. Methane can be produced on Mars using materials available there, i.e. CO2, H2O, and sunlight.

Is there any method how to take the appropriate amount of methane to get to the red planet without refueling?
As far as I know, scientists did no figure that stuff out.

Yes, I know that, but they most probably need to cary large amounts of oxygen and hydrogen to create water using a special machine. This has many logistical problems but will multiply in complexity as they are travelling the longest distance yet.

Hello all,
The astronauts will have to transport many things to the Martian planet to survive: oxygen and hydrogen for fuel and water, lots of food, seeds and portable greenhouses, and other stuff. Instead of investing in expensive spacesuits and air filtration systems for capsules, could we at least try this technology underground. For example, we can take a disused (and safe) old mine, connect electricity, gas and water from above/below and use the air filtration system to provide fresh air. You can take the rubble from the excavation and use it for seawalls, weights, 'sandbags' and other things so that does not go to waste.

I have heard that some miners in America live underground, and have everything there to resemble a home: beds, sofas, stoves, heating, and fake windows!

If not Earth, why not the moon? It is far closer in case something goes wrong, and you can build extended facilities there, because of the availability of frequent supply shuttles from Earth.

As an aside, I don't believe the reports of Mpemba's original experiment are correct.

Worth an investigation and a discussion - folk have argued about this for years!

Should I make a page for you to talk about it; you look very keen on the subject, but you can't find anyone to debate about it with you(I think).

I belive, as do many muslim women children and men, that muslim men should cover from the navel to the lnees and that muslim women should cover their hair an the rest of their body(except for the hands, face and feet). Women have a choice if they want to cover their hands, face and feet but some strongly follow that opinion.
We need to cover in front of people who are not our “mehrams”. This means anyone who is not our sister, brother, mum, dad, son or daughter.

Children don’t have to cover but should when they come to the age of maturity( or being“ baalikh”)

I find that to be an interpretation against the direct instruction of the Koran to hide the beauty, adornment and makeup are surely different things, red lip stick is to mimmick the passion, mascara is to mimmick dreamy wide eyes, blisher once again the engorging of blood vessels due to the biological wanton need to mate. A nice gold broach has no such root.

The Quraan teaches us that women are not allowed to look beautiful but not for sexual attraction. They need to have the intention to protect their modesty. The Quraan doesn't exactly say anything about makeup. It is an opinion that is debated. Some people say that you can as long as it is not sexally attracting/ or if there is a meheram there, Others say no. The Quraan does say "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you Believers, turn you all together towards Allah, that you may attain Bliss". (Qur'an 24:31).

I believe that you can wear light makeup as long as there is a mahram there. Overdoing it is a waste of money and Islam also says that spending ones wealth for useless things is disliked.

Dear everyone,
I have an activity that you can do with children. I got it from my science experiment book that my teacher gave to me as a present.

What you will need:

• some paint
• white spirit or oil
• paper(tracing/blotting)

How to do it:
First, mix the paint with some white spirit or oil.
Then, in a tub or deep dish, pour some water in.
After this, put in the paint. Because the paint is now oily, the water will repel it; give the mixture a swirl, dip a sheet of paper in and watch some art being created...

This might not answer your question completely but there were multiple explosions/ish (after the big bang.)
When the hydrogen and helium condensed together under the influence of Gravity, the mixture under intense pressure, ignites to form a star. These stars in the earliest period of the universe were blue-white stars so you did not have to wait long before they exploded as supernovas and spread their denser material across the universe; these explosions helped the big explosion to create the universe as we know today.
PS: If you are thinking that the explosions happened at the same time and are the big bang/s, I think you might be wrong. The theory does say that the big bag originated from one point so there would have been no space for multiple explosions. you might not understand but this is my best explanation.
