Is this gold? Found in a wash. Black and white layers with shiny golden flakes. Also shiny silver and black flakes.

The picture's very small and so details are not easy to discern - can you upload a better image?
Nevertheless, from what I can see and based on the description above, it looks like quartz or calcite or marble with iron pyrites inclusions to me

The flakes are probably mica. They're usually silver, but can look gold depending on the light and the color of the surrounding rock. I used to find lots of rocks with mica veins near my house. They're very pretty, but aren't worth any money.
